Description

Vertical panorama from the surface of the former Drive-In Mine, a tourist attraction in Lightning Ridge, where opal is mined. The gimmick was, basically, that you could park your car inside the mine, which is an open-cut hole in the ground. It closed down some years ago, now only the hole, dam and the ruins of a few small buildings remain.
