In 2008, I had the rare opportunity to see seven great honkin' Euclid trucks parked at a truck stop in the unfortunately named "town" of Cockburn, on the NSW/South Australian border. The story, so I was told, is that the trucks were waiting there, at a cost of megabucks per day, for permission from a nearby city council to pass through the city (the trucks aren't road legal, due to being gigantomassive). No doubt some unfortunate corporate suit would have been appropriately flogged for forgetting to secure that permission and costing the company huge amounts of money.

I think in the U.S. these trucks are going for around a million each so no telling what they cost in Australia :faint: I think you are right that some suit got a flogging :iconwhipplz:

Aww I love those big badboys! But it seems odd that they'd be transported by actually driving them on the roads. But seems like equipment that big would normally be transported or trailers because it's faster and less paperwork involved.

Either way it's a great shot and it must have been quite the experience to be able to get up close and personal with these things. :)

I thought the same, but then I realised bureaucracy was involved, in which case, I'll believe anything. :D

Thanks for the feedback. :D
